Symposium Proposals

Do you have an idea for an exciting symposium topic for the 2025 Meeting in Lisbon?

The 2025 Program Committee is accepting symposium proposals until April 1st, 2025!

One unique attribute of our society is that it brings together researchers with diverse perspectives, with an emphasis on integrating animal and human research. We encourage you to submit an exciting symposium proposal with a balance of animal and human research, but we will also consider proposals that address issues that are unique to either animal or human work.

Symposia and speakers will be selected based on research excellence, speaker geographical, career stage, gender, ethnic, and racial diversity, timeliness of the content, and fit into the overall program. Symposia will be prioritized if all speakers have not given a talk at S4SN in the last 2 years and/or if they have spoken in the last 2 years, the topic or content of the talk is sufficiently different from the previous presentation (please specify this in the speakers section on the form)

Please include the following in your symposium submission for all four speakers:

Names
Email addresses
University and country
Career stages (Student, Postdoc, or Faculty)
Topic (Human, Animal, Both)
Talk titles
Symposium abstract (one for the whole symposium, 3000 characters)

If your proposal is selected, the Program Committee will contact you with detailed instructions for submitting the individual talk abstracts in accordance with the guidelines on the Abstract Submissions page.

Please submit your symposium proposal using the form provided by clicking the button at the top of the page!
